I see that this book is available (used) for an amount of money that I can reasonably afford. I will buy you this book if you'd like, on the condition that you owe me nothing, and that you don't get weird about getting a gift.

If you don't want more books cluttering your life, you could put it in a free library when you're done, or regift it.
