Jun. 25th, 2007 12:51 pmI finished my first reread (i. e. second reading) of Vast, the sequel to Deception Well. Got a lot more out of it this time than I did on the first reading, mostly because I was able to make myself slow down instead of rushing through the tricky bits out of impatience to find out what happens next. I guess Vast is really a joint sequel to both DW and The Bohr Maker, which I am now hankering to reread.
These three are my favorite Linda Nagata books, and the reason why she is one of my favorite writers.
(Oh, yeah, I also reread Raphael Carter's The Fortunate Fall in the last few weeks, but had a very difficult time slowing down like this for it; the pacing is very well done on that one.)
