that booklist meme that's been going around

I didn't want to handcode my responses into the list, because that would just remind me of that booklist I made back in the 90s that is probably still floating around on archive.org somewhere. But it's always interesting, when these lists resurface, to see which most recent entries make it on. The two that caught my eye were The Life of Pi and The Lovely Bones. I read the former a year or two ago, and the latter in the last few weeks. Discussion of either of these, anyone?
